In-State Lineman Near a Decision E-mail
blakenowland
The Buffs have only offered five in-state players for the 2013 recruiting cycle. Two of them, TE Mitchell Parsons and RB Phillip Lindsay, are committed. OL Chris Fox has committed to Michigan and OL Dan Skipper is still heavily considering the Buffs. The fifth offer the staff handed out was to Douglas County HS Offensive Linemen, Blake Nowland, just a couple weeks ago. The Castle Rock native is now up to five scholarship offers and says he is getting ready to make a decision in the very near future. Could he be a Buff within the next month? Nowland gives Buff Scoop the low-down on all the details involving his recruitment. Get inside for the story!

Southern Playmaker Receives CU Offer E-mail
Shelby_Christy
Colorado could absolutely use a couple of special playmakers at the wide-out position in this recruiting class. With Paul Richardson going down in the spring, it is anyone's guess as to which player, or players, will step-up and fill P-Rich's considerable sneakers. There are a trio of Texans coming in this August that will all take a crack at it. In the meanwhile, the Buffs' staff is doing its' best to round-up some more prospects that can add electricity to the receiving corps for the fall of 2013. The latest receiver to obtain a scholarship tender from the Colorado staff is Shelby Christy from Geismar, Louisiana. The Buffs' offer is just one of many that Christy currently holds. The Bayou prospect tells Buff Scoop how he feels about Colorado's offer and overall interest in him. Get inside for the full details on this fantastic recruit from the south!

Buffs Hard After Texas 'Backer E-mail
brettwade
Besides the Offensive Line, Linebacker is the biggest position of need in this recruiting class. Buff Scoop has learned that the CU staff wants to take as many as four players at the spot. Without any committed thus far, recruitment is wide open at linebacker and seeing that the Buffs have one of the best LB coaches in all of football, the prospects of what players Colorado might land at the position is a very exciting item to ponder. Brett Wade from Kennedale, Texas, is yet another top 250 national player that Colorado has offered. Coaches Cabral and Kennedy went by Wade's High School just last week to visit with the fantastic player. Buff Scoop spoke with Wade about everything under the sun involving his recruitment. Get inside for this exclusive interview with an inside linebacker prospect that has already tallied almost 20 scholarship offers!

The Buffs are going harder after offensive linemen than any other position this class and one squarely in the staffs' sight is O-Tackle prospect Kenny Lacy from Mountain Pointe HS in Phoenix. Buffs Newest Offer For Matthews E-mail
jordanmatthews
Less than a month ago, Jordan Matthews was an unknown. The Santa Monica product had yet to see a single scholarship offer come his way. All of that changed when he traveled with the California Supreme AAU squad to Minneapolis for the first session of the Nike EYBL. His weekend started off with a 30 point performance against the St. Louis Eagles and never slowed down. Now heading into the third session in Dallas, he is averaging 19.7 points per game. That's not all that has heated up for the talented shooting guard. He recently secured his first "big six" offer from Colorado. Where does Matthews stand in his recruitment? Get inside to find out!

Buffs in Top Three for Outstanding O-Lineman E-mail
seanharlow
About a third of the offers the Colorado staff has sent out early in the 2013 recruiting cycle have been to offensive linemen. Expect the Buffs to land more than a handful in this class and one is already in the bag via Orange Lutheran standout, Colin Sutton. It's safe to say that more than half of the O-line offers hail from the Golden State as this year is a fantastic one for linemen on the west coast. The Buffs were one of the first schools to get in on San Clemente's Sean Harlow. He now totals 14 offers in all, including most of the Pac 12. The top Buff prospect has been in Boulder twice and CU has obviously made a strong impression on Harlow considering the fact that he tells Buff Scoop that CU is in his top three right now. Get inside for the full article on this gem of an offensive line prospect.

National Top 50 Player Talks Buffs, Summer Visits E-mail
Max_Redfield
Colorado landed one of the best cornerback tandems in the nation on signing day 2012 with Kenneth Crawley from Washington D.C. and Yuri Wright from New Jersey. The Buffs also inked a couple other defensive back prospects but they didn't really land any sure-fire safety signatures. CU is looking for a couple of those in this class and what better place to start than Mission Viejo, California, where Max Redfield hangs his hat? After landing a couple players from the high school a few years ago, the Buffs are back as they have offered Redfield. CU is one of 19 schools to extend an offer to the dynamic safety athlete thus far. Buff Scoop spoke with Redfield to get his thoughts on the Buffs, what schools he has visited, and plans to visit, plus when he thinks he will commit. Get inside for this exclusive interview!
